Riflescopes for the Ultimate Hunting Experience

Picking the right riflescope can make a huge difference in your success come hunting season. Riflescopes are a standard product for rifle owners because they improve aim tremendously with their magnification and they increase light by gathering more than is capable with the naked eye, and they make it far easier to aim at your target because of the reticle (crosshairs). Bushnell’s line of hunting scopes features over a dozen different magnifications, objective sizes, and specs so you can find the right scope for you.

When choosing the best hunting scope for your firearm, consider the following:

  • What time of day will you be hunting? If you’re planning to hunt at dawn or dusk, go with the optics that offer high light transmission and a large objective lens for better contrast and lighting. Also, you may want an illuminated reticle to help you see the reticle better if it’s darker out.
  • What environment are you hunting in? High humidity, condensation, or rain can fog up your scope if the lenses aren’t designed for repelling water and fog. Also, some are waterproof, while others are more susceptible to the weather.
  • What game are you hunting? What you hunt impacts which scope range you need with regards to the magnification. You can also consider short, medium, or long-range hunting for which scope magnification to go with. This also affects what speed you need to focus on and what range of vision you need.
