Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the system requirements for using the ImageView™ software? Can I use it on a Mac?

A: The ImageView™ drivers and PhotoSuite® software are PC-only, with the following requirements:

  • Pentium® 166MMX minimum (Pentium II 266 recommended) or equivalent AMD® processor
  • Windows® 98SE/ME/NT/2000 or XP
  • Minimum 32 MB of RAM
  • 200 megabytes free hard drive space
  • USB port (capable of providing power to connected devices)
Many of the ImageView models (11-0512, 11-8313, 11-8321, 11-0832, Instant Replay), now conform to the USB Mass Storage standard. This means they do not require a driver for Windows 2000 and XP, and will be identified as a “Removable Disk”, allowing the camera’s memory contents to be accessed and transferred to your internal hard drive more easily. These models are also compatible with Mac computers. After connecting a USB Mass Storage type ImageView to your PC (on 2000/XP only) or Mac with the supplied cable (connect directly to the computer-do not use a hub or keyboard USB port), it should appear in Windows Explorer or My Computer (on Macs, appears directly on the desktop) as any new drive or disk would. Simply double click to open this new item, and the photo files contained in the “Disk” folders can be dragged or copied and pasted to any desired location on your PC or Mac hard disk.
