Retail Store Lead #135-13

Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting the Retail Store Manager in the day to day operations of sales administration and the retail store. 

Description:
Provide customers with the highest level of service possible and assists the Retail Store Manager in achieving budgeted revenue goals and monitoring expenses

Opens and closes the store in Manger’s absence and assures that all opening and closing procedures are implemented including security, shrinkage and maintenance

Balances all administrative reports, compiles and analyzes weekly sales and inventory needs

Assists in executing physical inventories; processes damaged and defective products in a timely manner

Assists in the development of the annual store business plan

Handles all cash and charge deposits promptly and securely and report all discrepancies to management

Processes voids, refunds, and petty cash per store policy

Assists the manager in all aspects of inventory control, merchandising, employee performance evaluation, and the maintenance of established store standards, policies, and procedures

Promotes and monitors quality service among the staff 

Supervises retail store personnel in the Manager’s absence; prepares the work schedule for staff

Qualifications:
Education:  high school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred

Years of Related Experience:  3 – 5+ years related experience in a retail environment preferred including prior supervisory experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: good interpersonal and sales skills; basic PC and cash register operating skills
