Regional Sales Manager - Law Enforcement #56-13

Summary:
Responsibility for the sale of: Uncle Mikes Law Enforcement,  Bolle Tactical, Serengeti, Bushnell Optics, Hoppes, Butler Creek Stoney Point, Simmons Optics, Millett and Tasco Optics.

Description:
Responsible for managing manufacturing representatives.
Calls on regional accounts to sell law enforcement product and develop category management plans.Responsible for overall profitability by account to ensure the proper margins are achieved based on business plan.
Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
Responsible for promotional programs for assiged regional accounts.
Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalogs and emphasized salable features as well as conducting sales and product training sessions.
Responsible for new business development.
Solicits business by calling on customers and potential customers; maintains lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from in-house sources, newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
Contributes to new product development by analyzing market needs as well as by promoting OEM sales possibilities at shows and in the field.
Participates in the development of yearly catalogs.
Attends business hunts and various shooting events as required by the company.
Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
Participate and work various industry trade shows.
Responsible for managing manufacturing reps.

Location:
National - Western Region

Qualifications:
Education:  High school diploma; college degree preferred.
Years of Related Experience: 5+ years of sales/sales management experience; 2-3 years experience in merchandising a plus.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must understand profit and loss statements, margin analysis and calculate return on investments.
Strong report writing skills Attendance at trade shows mandatory to include set-up and  tear down of booth, communicating with attendees and analysis of competition.
Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
Prior experience managing manufacturers’ rep groups Successful track record of growing sales.
Position requires extensive travel 60% +/-.
Computer Skills: Strong MS skills – Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint essential.
Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend and communicate as necessary.
