Assistant Product Manager - Trail Cameras #112-12
Assist the Product Manager of Hunting Gear and Accessories in all aspects of product development. Assume primary responsibility for all administration and documentation related to product launch/maintenance.
Product Testing & Validation for Accessory Products (15%)
Coordinate evaluation of product samples / first receipt of production with Engineering. Including: basic functionality, user interface, product specs etc.
Conduct competitive evaluation/testing as required.
Customer Service (20%)
Verify accuracy of product specs in all packaging, catalogs and other marketing/sales materials.
Maintain product spec database.
Provide on-going product training for Customer Service and Repair Lab.
Ongoing Product Line Management/Maintenance (20%)
Provide sales analyses as needed/requested.
Assist in the development of new ideas and concepts
Assist the graphics team in creation/production of sell sheetsand product collateral
Sales Support (25%)
Support Trade Marketing in development/production of producttraining materials.
Assist with development of trade show materials/presentations.
Provide ongoing product training
Work with field sales on a regular basis to assist in customer presentations & training and to stay current with market trends
Product Launch (20%)
Manage all SKU set-up
Support the development of product catalogs and marketing materials
Responsible for proof reading and the accuracy of product specs related to marketing materials
Coordinate with Trade Marketing/Sales the distribution of sales samples
Overland Park, Kansas
College degree; Marketing or Business preferred
Interest in Sporting Goods Industry and knowledge of our products (i.e. technical "know-how")
Experienced hunter and interest within the Hunting Industry
Ability to multi-task
Can do attitude/personality
Organized with great attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret sales reports, market data and business/professional journals
Ability to analyze test data and to write reports, business correspondence, instruction manuals and sales/marketing materials
Experience using a PC
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to analyze and interpret P.O.S. data, sales reports, etc.
Ability to create spreadsheets, charts & graphs from source data
Ability to think strategically
Ability to define problems/opportunities, collect data, establish facts and make valid conclusions/recommendations
Fact paced working conditions with moderate noise
Some domestic and/or international travel required (sales presentations, trade shows, etc.)
